Western blot analysis of SLC27A4 on different lysates with Rabbit anti-SLC27A4 antibody (HA720001) at 1/1,000 dilution.
Lane 1: HAP1-parental cell lysate
Lane 2: HAP1-SLC27A4 KD cell lysate
Lysates/proteins at 10 µg/Lane.
Predicted band size: 70 kDa
Observed band size: 70 kDa
Exposure time: 60 seconds; ECL: K1801;
4-20% SDS-PAGE gel.
Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% NFDM/TBST for 1 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody (HA720001) at 1/1,000 dilution was used in K1803 at 4℃ overnight. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG - HRP Secondary Antibody (HA1001) at 1/50,000 dilution was used for 1 hour at room temperature.

FUNCTION
This gene encodes a member of a family of fatty acid transport proteins, which are involved in translocation of long-chain fatty acids cross the plasma membrane. This protein is expressed at high levels on the apical side of mature enterocytes in the small intestine, and appears to be the principal fatty acid transporter in enterocytes. Clinical studies suggest this gene as a candidate gene for the insulin resistance syndrome. Mutations in this gene have been associated with ichthyosis prematurity syndrome.
