Background

Extracellular matrix metalloproteinase inducer (EMMPRIN), also designated basigin or CD147, is involved in the regulation of matrix remodeling at the epidermal-dermal interface. EMMPRIN stimulates the production of interstitial collagenase, gelatinase A, stromelysin-1 and various metalloproteinases (MMPs) by fibroblasts. These enzymes, which are typically increased during tissue degradation and wound healing, are important factors in cancer invasion and metastasis.

Usage Guide

Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are provided as lyophilized powder which are shipped with blue ice. Bulk packages of recombinant proteins are provided as frozen liquid which are shipped with dry ice.

Storage

Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20C to -80C It is recommended that aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.

Reconstitution

Reconstitute at 250 μg/ml in sterile water.
