Thy-1 or CD90 is a 25–37 kDa heavily N-glycosylated, glycophosphatidylinositol (GPI) anchored conserved cell surface protein with a single V-like immunoglobulin domain, originally discovered as a thymocyte antigen. It is highly expressed on the surface of adult neurons and is thought to play a role in modulating adhesive and migratory events, such as neurite extension. Thy-1 can be used as a marker for a variety of stem cells and for the axonal processes of mature neurons.

Western blot analysis of CD90 / THY1 on mouse brain tissue lysates with Rabbit anti-CD90 / THY1 antibody (R1107-9) at 1/10,000 dilution.
Lysates/proteins at 40 µg/Lane.
Predicted band size: 18 kDa Observed band size: 25 kDa
Exposure time: 10 seconds; ECL: K1801;
4-20% SDS-PAGE gel.
Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% NFDM/TBST for 1 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody (R1107-9) at 1/10,000 dilution was used in 5% NFDM/TBST at 4℃ overnight. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG - HRP Secondary Antibody (HA1001) at 1/50,000 dilution was used for 1 hour at room temperature.
