Apolipoprotein M is an apolipoprotein and member of the lipocalin protein family that in humans is encoded by the APOM gene. It is found associated with high density lipoproteins and to a lesser extent with low density lipoproteins and triglyceride-rich lipoproteins. The encoded protein is secreted through the plasma membrane but remains membrane-bound, where it is involved in lipid transport. Two transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene, but only one of them has been fully characterized. It lacks an external amphipathic motif and is uniquely secreted to plasma without cleavage of its terminal signal peptide.

Western blot analysis of Apo-M on different lysates with Rabbit anti-Apo-M antibody (HA722333) at 1/1,000 dilution.

Exposure time: 10 seconds; ECL: K1801;
4-20% SDS-PAGE gel.
Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% NFDM/TBST for 1 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody (HA722333) at 1/1,000 dilution was used in 5% NFDM/TBST at 4℃ overnight. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG - HRP Secondary Antibody (HA1001) at 1/50,000 dilution was used for 1 hour at room temperature.
